01 / BREED PORTRAIT
We chose Galloways for a pasture-based farming system. Adaptability to local conditions, outdoor living and an unhurried pace of rearing matter to us.
One of Scotland’s long-established beef cattle breeds.
Natural polledness is one of the breed standard’s characteristics.
The long, thick coat helps them adapt to cool, damp weather.
Galloways are used for extensive grazing and grassland management.
A thick undercoat and long outer hair are characteristic features of the breed.
Galloways are mainly black. The breed standard also allows other colours.

03 / OUR GRAZING STORY
In summer, we rotate grazing areas to allow the grassland to regrow. Winter feeding also includes bale grazing in the field.

THE OWNERS’ FULL STORY
Galloway — the foundation of our beef production Galloways are one of the oldest and hardiest extensive cattle breeds in the world, ideally suited to our natural grassland ecosystem:
Life outdoors all year: Their thick coats and strong immunity allow them to feel comfortable outside in every season.
100% grass-fed (no concentrates): The animals eat only grass and hay from natural meadows, without supplementary grain or industrial concentrate feed.
Marbled meat with excellent nutritional value: A slow growth cycle produces fine marbling, high levels of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids and a rich flavour profile.
Regenerative grazing practices Regardless of breed, we use responsible methods to manage the entire herd:
Rotational grazing: During the grazing season, cattle are regularly moved between paddocks, giving the grasslands time to regrow and preserving natural diversity.
Bale grazing in winter: Feeding directly in the field provides natural fertilisation and restores soil structure.
